My Child Loved this Summer Camp in Memphis

My daughter loves to sing. What can I say, she gets it from her mommy! That's why I was so excited when I came across these fun, drastically different Summer Camps in Memphis, TN. They were held at this place called Sing!, which teaches voice and dance lessons year round in addition to these camps.

We signed up for the Pop Star and then the Broadway Camp. While the Broadway Camp could have been taken someplace like Theatre Memphis or some other local playhouse, after the Pop Star Camp my daughter didn't want to go anywhere else. The Pop Star Camp was a week long experience that included singing, dancing, dressing up for a photo shoot and more! It was actually designed to give the kids the feel that they were a rock star which of course my daughter really enjoyed. We even got some of the pictures they took during the photo shoot!

The Broadway Camp was definitely different than the camps done in the local theatres… they worked on more recent musicals, moving away from the typical Cats and towards shows like Legally Blonde. They ended the two week camp with a demonstration of what they'd learned where my daughter and others sang and danced what must have been half a dozen songs. She had a blast!

I don't know what they will be offering next year, but I have a feeling I know what my daughter is going to be asking to do.
