Car seats for infants

Car seats made specifically for babies are designed for younger new-borns, so they're a decent choice for the baby. Many provide a snug fit and are very convenient and portable. Baby car seats should always be installed in the back seat, like all childrens safety harnesses, and for infants only in the rear-facing position.

If you prefer a seat that will grow with your baby, a 3-in-1 seat is another alternative. Convertible seats are larger, so they can accommodate your baby for a longer period. They are used in the rear-facing position for children under one year old and for babies over 12 months who don't yet weight 20 pounds. When your child turns 12 months and exceeds twenty lbs, you can turn the car seat regular forward facing seat. Most 3-in-1 seats accommodate kids up to eighty pounds.

Whichever carseat you decide, it is utterly important you realize the way to install it. Make a point to go over the manufacturer's instructions. To be efficient, your car seat needs to be latched into the seat properly.
